6 Simple Steps Say I Miss You!

How to say I miss you

Oh my goodness I can hardly believe I’m finally able to talk to you! I miss you something terrible! I finally have internet at my new place and am able to communicate! If you would have asked me 10 months ago if I would miss blogging I would have told you you were crazy! That’s right, just 10 short months ago I had no idea what a blog was let alone how to do it! But now, having to miss a couple months of talking with you has been killing me!

What is missing someone like?

I love this quote, and it is so fitting, “It feels intense and the worst part is that you feel completely out of control because there isn’t a whole lot that you can do about it” Nitika Chopra. That describes how I felt during this absence.

Where Have You Been?

So much has happened in two short months that I have wanted to share with you but with no internet, it was impossible. A month ago I went to town and used the free internet at a coffee shop but then was warned about how vulnerable that made my computer so I didn’t do that again. Instead I waited . . . and waited . . .  and waited! And I MISS YOU! I look forward to sharing all the amazing things that have happened with you. And even more, I look forward to your comments. Your comments make my day! To know you are out there reading my thoughts and are moved enough to talk with me about them is the most amazing thing. We may not be talking face to face, but I still feel like I’m talking with you when you comment back to me! I love your take on life. Your input on my thoughts. Even the times when you call me on something. What a wonderful means of communication and I value you and what you share with me. Thank you for honoring me with that. I have really missed interacting with you.

Six Simple Steps to Say I Miss You

So how do you show or tell someone you miss them? There are far too many ideas to cover all of them but here is the list I put together to tell YOU how much I Miss You!

  1. Tell them! Tell them you miss them and mean it.  So . . . I miss you. I have really, really missed you!
  2. Show them you miss them. Bring a gift the next time you see them or talk to them. So here is my gift to you! They represent what I would like to give each one of you! My roses for you! how to tell someone I miss you, joy, happiness, excited, God, love, family, communication, Colorado, mountains, cowboy, cowgirl, horses, cattle, roses
  3. Write them something to show you miss them – – I think you’re reading my example
  4. Work hard to show them you value them – – I hope I’m doing that right now as well.
  5. Thank them for being the kind of person, or people that makes you value them and miss them – – Thank you, each one of you for being that kind of person. I treasure you and I miss you when I can’t communicate with you.
  6. Show them your heart.  Honestly, I hope I am able to convey through these words had deeply I care about you. I feel like you are my extended family.

I treasure each one of you. Thank you for honoring me with your time, friendship, and readership. Thank you for sticking with me during my move and long absence!

miss, missing you, care about you, love you, God, love, heart, Colorado, mountains, moving, home, family, communication, cowboy, cowgirl, horses, cattle

What do you have the Courage to Change in your life?

courage, Change, Kristi Ross

How much courage do you believe you have?

Do you have the courage to change?

Life is full of choices. The little things that make our lives so much richer, like a ride at sunset, are easy to do. But they are also easy not to do. It’s easy to take a quick walk for our health. Just as easy not to. Easy to shut off the TV and read a few pages of a good book. Easy not to. We face choices every day. Are you going to choose to do the little things that move you ever so slightly forward into a new and better you?  Or not?  What do you have the courage to change in your life?

Can we gather our courage and “Just Do It”?

Five years ago I was stuck in a rut and didn’t know if I would ever escape it. Gathering up my courage, and putting my faith in God, and I started doing one small new thing each day. Working my way up a little at a time. Now, five years later – my new resume includes a recent college graduate, a website, a real blog, several books in the works, one well on the road to be publication, and my own business. My life is being transformed. All because I prayed, asked God for courage,  started making small changes in my life, and reached out for the courage to change my life!. One small change at a time and things started transforming.

Brain Damage

For those of you that don’t know me, that was a huge feat! Seventeen years ago I suffered a closed head injury. The doctors told me I would never be able to handle college and would be partially paralyzed the rest of my life. The physical diagnosis was simply not acceptable and I fought my way back from dragging a leg and not being able to use my left hand correctly. But I accepted the brain-damage diagnosis toward my education. For fifteen years my brain sat in neutral.  Five years ago I decided enough was enough. I was going to gather up my courage to change and my life was going to be different!  And with God’s help, it is!

My previous education had focused around equine science.  When I  decided to try college again I had to do it online and they had no horse related classes.  A new major was my first obstacle.  What did I want to be when I grew up!  Working for the County I decided on Organizational Management.  I took a writing class (funny isn’t it!) to see how I would handle it.  I passed! With an A!

Now I am a college graduate!  And I graduated with Honors!

It took a great deal of courage to change and to make those tough choices, but it has all been worth it!

Do YOU have the Courage?

Do you have anything you want to change?  Have you ever been faced with needing the courage to make tough choices?  How did that turn out? Do you or someone you know have a dream you have given up on?

Colorado Back Porch Sunrise

What is Country Living in Colorado?

What is Country Living in Colorado?

My kitchen window looks out on gorgeous river bottom meadows with mountains as the backdrop. Country living in Western Colorado is awesome! It really is the good life! I am incredibly blessed.

Just like this photo – sunrise off my back porch!  It is beautiful.

Riding at sunset

I love to jump on a horse and ride through the fields. There is nothing like a ride as the sun is setting. The shadows are long and the warm yellow light filters through the branches like flickering golden glitter. You feel the warmth on your skin and smell the meadow. There is no sound except the quiet swush, swush, swush of the horse’s legs through the tall grass. It’s glorious!  The peacefulness washes away all the worries of the world and I find my true self.  No one to impress, no one to listen to, just quiet, peace.

Little Kristi and her wonderful Black Horse

This is my first “big” horse. His name was Black Horse. I loved him and he loved me! The outside of a horse truly is good for the inside of a man (or a woman)! He carried me all over the country here in Colorado and dedicated his life to making mine better.

Living in the country here in Colorado allows that incredible luxury. We are so spoiled. But we often forget to appreciate what we have. No matter where you are today I hope you pause, look around you, reflex on your blessings, and enjoy where you are and what you have. No matter how great our how little, let us rejoice today.

I treasure my family, my home, my kitchen windows, my horses, my country living, and I thank  God for those blessings everyday.

What is special for you today? Do you have a great family? Or a lovely home?

What do you do for peaceful quiet time?
