What Kind of Songs You Get Stuck In Your Head Tells A Great Deal About You

Do you ever get a song stuck in your head? How about a song in your heart?

I do! Thankfully now I hear Christian songs in my head when I wake up every morning. This morning it was “Child of the One True King, I am saved, I have been set free!”

What a wonderful thing! I often wonder if that is what’s going on in my head as I sleep. Or is that my subconscious communing with God?  Either way, I LOVE it!

I used to wake up worrying about the bills, the coming days work, or the best way to rob Peter to pay Paul. To wake up with a song in my head, to the Father, is awesome!

Our God wants us to wake up with a song in our head and joy in our heart!  He wants us to not have that heavy, worried, tension in my minds while we sleep and first thing rising.

Sunrise over mountains

Glorious sunrise of the mountains!

When we take the time to thank God and praise Him for our incredible blessings and life, He always shows up. He never leaves us, but we do leave Him. We get caught up in our busy, rush here, rush there lives, and we forget to spend time with Him. Let Him become the song in your head and in your heart!

I Challenge You –

Before your feet hit the floor tomorrow morning, I challenge you to pause and think about our Father God. Praise and thank Him for caring for us like He does. For loving us perfectly, just the way we are. Revel in His love for you. No matter what is happening in your world, whether it be good or bad, thank Him. Trust that He can, and will, use whatever it is, for good – your good. Get a song for Him in your head, and in your heart! He is the best song you could ever sing!

Will you do that with me?

I am SO impressed!! You really are a brave one Lou! Isn’t it interesting how an Attitude of Gratitude and prayerful thanks can turn the bluest day in a blessing! Please check back in and let me know you are sticking with it and who knows, maybe down the road I’ll have something special for you for being the first to take the challenge and stick with it! God Bless!

Romans 8:28 – my current life verse!!!

Oh I know, that one is wonderful! But I often wonder if “all” was a typo! Surely He meant some, or most, but ALL things work for our good. Hum, sure enough!

That is so funny – I do that too! But mine was a Beatles song today!

Hi Vinessa, thank you for stopping by! I’m glad you enjoyed the post. I enjoy waking up with a song for the Lord in my head. It starts my day right!

    Hi All

Its more common than you think.

I am a Pentecostal from South Australia.

I know I love worship time in church or car. Cant stop it. Love it. I shake during worship always a little some times a lot. Scripture says God seeks those to worship Him.

I have these Christian songs in my head that keep on changing for 13 years now. Sing a new song to the lord as scripture says. The only time it stops is in church or when I read the bible.

    Gods batteries never go flat.

When I am out to tea with family or friends like tonight they are talking and I have these beautiful songs in my head almost drowning them out. Just love it. Don’t want it to stop.

Go to sleep and the songs are there. Wake up and its still there. Sometimes it wakes me up during the night as it is so loud. Its just beautiful. Just like His presence and His gentle voice guiding me.

    Kind Regards COLIN

    Good Morrning All,
I too wake with Christian songs in my head and heart. When I mention it to other Christians some look at me confused. Made me think this was uncommon. It has blessed me beyond words. I have prayed for God to reveal His love for me and desired a deeper relationship with Him. I live alone, so have much time to ponder on God’s goodness and mercy. Praise is always on my mind which I am grateful for because I use to be a worrier. Not so much anymore. Pretty hard to worry when you are singing a praise song in your mind. Praise defeats the enemy! It is awesome and I pray more people experience it!
